Happy with this when I heard the interview. Especially as they will be on 1 year deals. I know in the past we missed out on some quality as the courses were 2 years.Doom wrote:Sounds like the final two D will be on Uni courses, so you'd expect a decent standard of player using that carrot as an incentive.

I'd put my money on this guy as wellChristherover wrote: ↑Wed Aug 11, 2021 6:58 amhttps://www.eliteprospects.com/player/2 ... even-seigo
Steven Seigo who he was with in Mora and Lukko.
I would think Seigo might be the most likely. On the other hand I could be totally wrong and it could be a European import that Ellerby has iced alongside.

The 32 year old Canadian was the 1st Rd 10th overall pick of the Florida Panthers in 2007.
He’s played 218 NHL games for the Florida Panthers, Los Angeles Kings & Winnipeg Jets.
198 AHL games with the Rochester Americans & St John’s Ice Caps.
In Europe he’s played for Kazakstani KHL outfit Barys Astana.
In the Swiss NLA with HC Fribourg-Gottéron.
In Finnish Liiga with Lukko Rauma.
In the Swedish SHL with Mora IK.
In the German DEL with Iserlohn Roosters.
In the EBEL (now ICEHL) with Austrian side Dornbirner EC.
& most recently he iced with Justin Hodgman in the Erste Liga with Hungarian side Ferencvárosi TC.

Two of my favourite combination of words, something we don't hear often at the Steelers!
Defensive defenceman!
Sounds as if our last 3 signings should be great too!
I think you could be correct, but if it is I can't say this one would float my boat anything like as much as Ellerby.JoeySlats#13 wrote: ↑Wed Aug 11, 2021 8:38 amI'd put my money on this guy as wellChristherover wrote: ↑Wed Aug 11, 2021 6:58 amhttps://www.eliteprospects.com/player/2 ... even-seigo

Played in some high standard leagues, but dropping down and even in Slovakia his +/- was quite poor.
Wouldn't be a poor signing, more middle of the road.
I guess with Ellerby and mention of MBA, I'm getting greedy now.......but Tony Smith does have a budget limit

The netminder has not been announced also, so he could be one of them...markw wrote: ↑Wed Aug 11, 2021 8:37 amHappy with this when I heard the interview. Especially as they will be on 1 year deals. Back to Keaton Ellerby, I have a feeling that Dops and or refs maybe a little busy (i hope not) (i hope they know a good hit when they see one) because looking at the available videos, he doesn't hold back in his hits does he! He leaves them on the floor most times and if they are foolish enough to get up, he has no qualms in finishing the job with a fight... Not a fighter by any stretch of the imagination, but certainly not afraid to if the circumstances dictate..
I think you could say, not afraid to give his opinions either...
