Big money dosnt always transpire into success, as always its a case of seeing the end product on the ice

Lots of signings around the league but some big moves in Cardiff - Bowns back, Carruth returns and they've now announced Zach O'Brien who I've hoped would be someone we've targeted - over PPG in the coast and AHL experience. Very good player - Cardiff and Belfast definitely going all out to catch up with our level from last year.
I was about to post something similar Ginger.

O'Brien looks a top signing for our league and will undoubtedly be on big money.

Cardiff and Belfast certainly seem to have opened the chequebook and are throwing money at their squads so far.

If we want to be up there again next season, we need to match this quality with any new signings we make.

I do fear a little for the teams further down the league like Fife, because if a bit of an arms race is developing, they could be left behind.

Regards

Sanford is rumoured to be leaving now, and think Arniel is retiring so they've freed up quite a bit there I reckon. Also makes more sense of the Brandt signing though - so I reckon Cardiff will be realistically only a 3 line team. Belfast definitely loading up though.

I agree with this, particularly the last paragraph. Whilst I really do want to watch the best players possible, I do feel for teams with lower budgets. It must be very frustrating for them.

Really would be good if all teams were on an even playing field financially but it is what it is. Got to be a lover of the sport when you know your team will probably not win any trophies. Lets just be grateful though that win or lose we are lucky to have a good standard of ice hockey to watch in the uk

Three Fife signings that you have missed.

Chiodo returns which is brilliant for the returning players as he was the heart beat of the team after Christmas.
Two new signings for Flyers
Michael Cichy from the Polish league where he played for 10 years and in that time nobody scored more points in that league than him.
Also has international, CHL and Continental Cup experience.
And a guy you at Steelers know well as Flyers bring Martin Latal back to the league

Two Fife signings

D man Olivier LeBlanc who played at University of New Brunswick where he won 2 USports Champioships and a University Cup Championship.
Also played 35 AHL games at Belleville and Cleveland before winning the Kelly Cup at Kalamazoo.

Also centre Phelix Martineau who has played 30 AHL games with Laval before taking time out and joined Concordia Uni where he averaged a point per game

Sam Herr returns to Nottingham. Excellent signing for them. One player I'd have loved to have seen in orange
