That's supposed to be a story ?, reporting online whinging from supporters of the team that lost. Give it up Bob, you've clearly lost interest.smbmetal wrote: ↑Tue Apr 23, 2024 1:55 pmhttps://www.thestar.co.uk/sport/ice-hoc ... in-4601275
A little bit of the "football mentality" creeping in @Jayboy
The UGLY was represented in suggestions that Steelers' wives were abused in the stands at Nottingham Arena. That is totally unacceptable.
There were also obscene gestures spotted at the rink - something you don't expect to see in a family sport.
And one Sheffielder said "a very small contingent" of Steelers followers "got in the face" of a friend of hers, who is a Giants' fan.
Another Orange Army member registered: "That's so terrible, it's getting worse, like football mentality."

That has to be up their with one of his worst ever articles he has ever wrote, a complete set of garbage not even really written, my 15 daughter would have had that rejected by her teachers if she had handed that in... a series or quotes that made no real story... Give it up fairytale and retire gracefully...smbmetal wrote: ↑Tue Apr 23, 2024 1:55 pmhttps://www.thestar.co.uk/sport/ice-hoc ... in-4601275

Yes there have been some unfortunate problems with Bob W this year around the AJ/MP incident. It may be time for a parting of the ways and have a clean slate going forward, assuming the Star have anyone able to take it on of course.

The Star probably won't exist in a few years. Too many ads, to much competition from purely online 'reporters' of varying reliability (not that the Star was always good!).
Plus Bob W's weird stance when challenged about the AJ incident probably means they are just not that important to us anymore

Yes, a vicious cycle of less or poorer content, more advertising and the outright cheek of expecting people to pay money to be advertised to meaning fewer viewers, not seen the physical version for many years as they don't sell it where I live but the online version is much nicer when using adblock and pihole. And this is not just in Sheffield, local media in many areas has followed the same path with the same results. I can see it going online only at least, but the content is no more than a scrape from social media and official press releases.ginger wrote: ↑Tue Apr 23, 2024 4:51 pm
