Import import Latal
Import Import Eberle
Dowd Import Mosey
Import Whistle Phillips

Import Import
Shulze Import
Phillips Jones

Import
McLaughlin

So far I make the team something like this. Do wonder if the players we’ve been linked with make this side capable of competing with the likes of cardiff and Belfast if they field teams as strong as last year. Need at least 2 probably 3 marquee signings to be in with a shot of silverware next season and none of the names I’ve seen have been that quality
Eberle won't be back for the start of the season even if he does come back, can't see Dowd not in a top 6 role either. And I think Whistle proved himself capable of being a third line center, obviously we'd have more strength if we could have him as 4th line and an upgraded 3rd line but I would be happy to see him on the 3rd. He could possibly be wasted on the 4th depending who else is on that line.

I would hope more for something like:

IMPORT-IMPORT-IMPORT
LATAL-IMPORT-DOWD
IMPORT-WHISTLE-MOSEY
IMPORT-IMPORT-JONO

IMPORT-IMPORT
IMPORT-JONES
SCHULZE-DAVEY

IMPORT / IMPORT
WARBURTON / MCCLUAGHLIN

Don’t think we will run 15 imports to start the season, I expect a young Brit on the 4th line probs Graham if we’re running two import netties.

Have I missed an announcement that Eberle won't be back with us? He does seem to got through the shop window procedure each season, so wouldn't be surprised if he's gone elsewhere?

Eberle is likely to land an ECHL job as he’s recently married and his wife is employed over there, so no chance of her travelling to Europe with him.

These days I take rumours on here with a big pinch of salt. If I recall correctly the success rate last season was terrible.

In the past many of the players we signed leaked out early, but these days the club do a much better job of keeping their cards close to their chest.

Sounds like we're going to be a younger team this season after I listened to Fox's latest interview on the Steelers website with Simms.

A couple around prime hockey age (his words not mine) 27/28 and a couple even younger, he also confirmed they'll all be rapid :D as is the Fox way.

Looking forward to seeing the next 6 announcements coming out maybe from next week, plus the last few still to be signed up.

August can't come fast enough!!!!!!!

That sounds encouraging, I'd like to see some younger new players.

I can't help but think we will see Connolly back next season based on The Star articles I've seen. He's too much of a risk for me at 37, but I guess as ever it would come down to wage demands.

I hate to play the we told you so game. Ok, I'm going to. Some of us in Foxy's reign have said that we are too old and need a younger, hungrier team. For all the we're vets and have come to Sheffield to win I just feel our hunger has lacked the few percent needed to get us over the line, let alone the Injuries and mental and physical endurance needed.
I have to say I'm with Doom re Connolly. Would be another season too far for me. Age, big injury and long lay off. But we will see what happens if he is re-signed.

Seems a bit high level for us, can imagine there’ll be sides in Europe will more pull that us after his signature.

Goes without saying he’d be an outstanding ,experienced addition.
I’m assuming there was never any substance to this.

But Grant has signed for probably the biggest side in the KHL, SKA St. Petersburg.
