Nottingham have re-signed veteran Welsh forward, and former Steeler, Matthew Myers. The 37 year old stands 6”2” and uses that to his advantage, also very strong on face-offs.

This will be his 11th season in Nottingham, and 19th EIHL campaign overall. He’s iced a massive 1,062 times at EIHL level for Cardiff, us & Nottingham and has won all 3 available trophies and has won more EIHL trophies than any other player.

He iced all 7 GB games this spring.

His only time outside the UK was in 09/10 in the ECHL with the Bakersfield Condors & Johnstown Chiefs.

Mr Glasgow Clan Matthew Haywood has left the club after icing all 11 seasons of their existence.

The Doncaster born forward has cited being strung along in contract talks as reason for departure.

He’s iced 678 games in the EIHL including 4 for us and 13 for Manchester in the Elite Series.

He’s also iced in Australia and has experience with GB at senior level.

Another Brit departure form Glasgow. Scottish backup netminder Jordan McLaughlin has left the club in search of regular minutes. He’s rumoured to be of interest to NIHL outfit the Hull Seahawks.

The 22 year old has played just 18 times at EIHL level since 19/20 in Glasgow after icing 24 times for the now defunct Edinburgh Capitals.

He spent time with NIHL sides Leeds Knights & Solway Sharks last season.

I'd take Heywood.

One player I would like to see In Orange is Josh Batch.

Not sure if it's been mentioned but Cardiff Devils announced 5 signings yesterday...

Ben Bowns
Joey Martin
Sam Duggan
Mark Richardson
Josh Waller

All 5 are excellent signings for the Devils.
