I think we will see Latal and Mosey back - I think these will be the first 2 announced, then we will see new players drip fed through the summer.

I do think though we need to make a big move for a GB player this year or next. Both Davey Phillips and Jono could retire/step down leagues any minute, Dowd is is nearing mid 30's, we lost BOC last season.

Ideally, we could do with signing B. Whis full time and bringing in an established brit such as Ferrara. But I know this is probably slim to none.
Definitely want to see those 2 back next season.

Agree with B Whistle as well, it's more important than ever to get young Brits signed up - would you sign J Whistle as well if given the chance? Have Curtis Warburton as back up and have the additional import skater compared with last season?

Doubt they would ever happen but having watched the worlds I'd love to have any of Lake, Perlini, Conway.

Another question is what happens with Shudra and Graham? I would assume we will sign them both again but I guess it depends on where they can be guaranteed decent ice time.... maybe a 2 way deal again?

Vallerand has signed in the ICEHL for Slovenian side HK Olimpija Ljubljana, the same side he won the title with in Covid, although they were then operating in the AlpsHL.

This afternoon's signing is from another club (as per official club account tweet) doesn't say if it's EIHL or not

Tomorrow's, I would assume is a re-signing (Mosey or Latal?)

The loss of Vallerand is not unexpected, but disappointing all the same.

This puts a big hole in our recruitment, because I didn't think there was too much wrong with our wingers, it was centers where I thought we could upgrade.

Is Fox capable of finding someone who can replace his 30 goals?

Historically such players usually come from the ECHL or AHL, but Fox seems reluctant to use those league's.

The recruitment job just got a bit tougher.

Martin Latal is back in Orange for the 2022/23 season.

Great to see him back.

He was most definitely on my list of players to re-sign.

2 import netties coming our way as well apparently - as stated in Bob W's article about Latal re-signing

Personally I'd rather have an import nettie backed up by a Brit.

I like the 2 imports/import quality (Bowns, Whistle) as it spreads risk. 1 injury there and the season is in big trouble with every two points key. Not many netminders available mid-season to get in. And both trophy winning sides had the duo last year.

I think to compete at the top end of our division nowadays it’s a must.
