This was one of the main gripes being discussed after the game.paul johnston wrote: ↑Fri Mar 11, 2022 9:19 pmPretty poor and mediocre all round. No decent aspects of that game. Was pretty close with my loss prediction by three.
Would like to see Whistle and Shudra play for some effort, grit, determination. A few too many "top" import passengers.

We've lacked it for a while now Neil, the team had plenty to be pleased with when everything was going right, but the enforced changes due to injuries ect and then the lack of true leadership and true toughness leads to the lack of grit and determination, Fox doesn't seem to like that type of player.. The nearest we have is Dowd, Vallerand, Eberle and of course Connolly.. Who can grab the team by the balls and pull them along.. The rest if the team, play well when everything is in place, but not really when the fan gets brown and sticky..neily06 wrote:Don't like to hear of a steelers team with no grit or balls that has always been our forty

The lack of grit and determination in the team has been one of my disappointments this year. Was good to see Vally showing just a bit of don't like losing mentality last night.
Considering the experience, age of the team, you'd expect more leadership and character being shown.
