I refrained from commenting on this straight away to see if my initial reaction changed and it hasn't.
We were planning to go this year and take our grandson to his first play off weekend.
Now unfortunately as two concessions and a child they are charging more than we are prepared to pay.
A jump from an Early Bird price of say £80 each (£240) to a staggering £360 is just money grabbing so even though we could afford it we are not prepared to pay it.
It equates to £40 per game !!! That is of course ignoring the 3rd & 4th place play off which hardly anybody wants to watch and the players aren't bothered about playing in.
I would like to think that fans of all teams would boycott the finals to make the Elite League have a good think about their pricing structure but I doubt that this will happen as there are always people willing to pay whatever is asked. That is not a criticism of them just being realistic.
Play off final weekend ticket Prices!!

Bargain.
Could be tempted with NIHL finals instead.

I’m assuming that is total tickets sold as the Steelers tickets don’t go on sale until Saturday.smbmetal wrote:Well according to our Club's website a 1,000 tickets have been sold already, so I would imagine the officials at our club who live in a special bubble think there will be no issues in selling out the building.

As a family of 2 adults and 1 child we were already discriminated against, as a ‘family’ ticket has been almost the same as buying individual ones in the past….However with this increase we’ll stay at home and watch it on the telly. With the savings we can even have the heating on!

Anybody know how sales went yesterday?
I thought about getting our tickets yesterday, but didn't get feedback from my mates until too late.
I can't see a problem waiting, because my guess is sales will be very poor.
Panthers have only got 3 blocks this time and I just tried to get 12 together in their favoured block 15......no problem at all. Obviously I didn't buy, but it just goes to show how poor sales are. In the past Panthers have more or less sold out 5 blocks by now.
If Sheffield and Nottingham fail to make the weekend I could see less than 5,000 turning up.

I overheard one the SCC ladies saying that they’d not had much uptake as previous years….wonder why…
We bought tickets, it's a lot of money for what it is but we decided we'd still go. There were about 80 groups of people in the 12-2 queue, I'd guess about 200 tickets sold. Drove passed around 2pm, couldn't see many in the SSSC queue.
I hope sales are poor. Ripping the fans off doesn’t sit right with me. If fans vote with their feet perhaps it might bring a few of the people that set the ticket prices sit up and notice.Sttrinian84 wrote: ↑Sun Mar 06, 2022 1:48 pmI overheard one the SCC ladies saying that they’d not had much uptake as previous years….wonder why…
