Nottingham have added 27yr old Swedish-Colombian winger Edwin Hedberg.

He stands 5”11, and is a player Aaron Fox knows very well having recruited him for now-defunct Croatian KHL outfit Medveščak Zagreb where he iced 134 times over 3 seasons.

He’s made 193 SHL appearances for the likes of MODO Hockey, Rögle BK & Skellafteå AIK.

He’s also had short spells in the Czech Extraliga with HC Lítvinov, the Finnish Liiga with Porin Assat and the Swedish 2nd tier HockeyAllsvenskan again with MODO Hockey.

He’s got Spengler Cup and Champions League experience.

He joins from 3rd tier Swedish HockeyEttan side Östersunds IK where he came through as a youth player.

The 25yr old stands 5”7” and will be looking to re-ignite his career after only icing 12 times in 4 seasons. This will be his first professional experience.

He joins from the Canadian University USports league where he had 10 points in 10 games.

A player! when was the last time he laced up and played, player coach somewhere I could see as a stretch, but player? surely the director of hockey development is the main role! :surprise:

I've just watched the highlights of the Belfast vs Cardiff game from last week and I have to say, the goal that Cardiff scored that got washed out was a complete farce! Never in this world of hockey does the Cardiff guy interfere with the Belfast nettie??? two perfectly good and experienced refs decide on ice that the goal should stand and then after watching the video still concede its a goal, but suddenly change their minds??? baffling??

If you watch it from the start of the highlights, look out for the Numpty couple leaving their seats just as Belfast are bearing down on goal and very nearly score!!! what idiots! they have Belfast shirts on so they must be regulars????? glad I'm not sitting behind them in that arena.

It was later revealed the refs watched a top-down camera angle that Premier Sports didn't have access to, which showed goalie interference. (Albeit not much, but it's interference by the letter of the law.)

After showing the view that the refs had on the night on Wednesdays challenge cup game v Dundee, Adey stuck to his guns that it was a good goal, and Murphy changed his mind to say there wasn’t enough in it to be washed out.
I am a Devils fan so I’m biased no doubt, but I’ve listened to Belfasts podcast this week and while having a great laugh about it at our expense, no surprise there, even they were quite 50/50 about it and I think at least one (Simon Kitchen , the webcast shouty commentator) said he thought it should have been given.
The better team on the night won there’s no arguing that tho.
It’s gone now and we have to live with it, but at least this Devils team is in a better place now than 6 weeks ago or so.
I’m very much looking forward to the games between you guys, Belfast and Devils the rest of the year.

Well Cardiff got their revenge in the best way possible with a decisive, no review of goals win
That being said this farce has not done us any harm :Smiled:
