And didn't the building get energised when the hits went in during the period?

Come on guys - Simms is, as always, looking to bait us into indignation, which he hopes will provide evidence to substantiate the point he and his strange acolytes hope to make, that all criticism is made in bad faith by some faceless outdated cult that feed off negativity.

Again, the only thing to note here is the irony of it all.

We all know he and his most vocal lieutenants genuinely pore over these threads in the hope of finding something to back up the divisions they are desperate to sow among the fanbase in order to build a hierarchy of loyalty on which they can place themselves at the top.

Dave...are you reading this, Dave? I’m sorry Dave, I cannot allow you to slander us. 🤖

They - Simms, “Scuff”, etc. - know that everybody here is having a great time as a Steelers fan and is loving the team this year, and love the club eternally. The truth of it is that they don’t want people to get away with criticisms they made in the past, even though it might’ve been a crucial factor in the changes we see today. They’re desperate to make sure nobody begins to wonder if valid criticism might enact positive transformation.

Almost makes you wonder who the two dissenting voices in the poll are...but the weather’s too cold for tinfoil hats.

What a load of rubbish Dave Simms. Absolute rubbish.. If Steel talk hadn't hit out against PT, you know your best mate and the best coach ever, then we would still be sitting through stale, boring hockey. Truth be known if people with probably a different agenda to yours hadn't shouted and stuck at it then he would still be here. As it is he left, went somewhere else and saw them to the bottom of that league.
No most people on Steeltalk say it as they see it. Sometimes its not always good stuff. This team is a million miles from PTs side. So what! If some can see a player having a bad game they are quite within their rights to have that opinion.
For goodness sake David. Move on. If anyone's stuck in the past it's you.. The irony of your comments is unbelievable and childish David.

It astounds me that grown adults simply cannot move on and ignore something they detest. If you don’t like / agree with the content on Steeltalk, why do you feel the need to constantly make digs about it on social media? Perhaps the truth is that some people’s ego’s are so inflated that they cannot stand to see people debating on a forum they have been kicked off for flagrant rule breaking. (Yes, it does still exist without your input chaps!) To be honest, Steeltalk is a far friendlier and pleasant place to be since certain ex members were booted out. No more do I have to read their insufferable ‘I know better than you’ ego fuelled, cliched rhetoric...and long may it last.

Meh i hold Simms and Scuff in the same regard as people like Katie Hopkins and Tommy Robinson in that their opinion is utterly worthless to me and they're blocked so they don't appear in my timeline. Just block them and people like them and Twitter becomes a much nicer place.

Do i agree with everything everyone posts on here? no, but i don't ever feel i have to not post because of the response i'll get from other members and i genuinely don't think that anyone in the current member base thinks they're a better fan because they've been going since year x unlike certain ex-members who couldn't go 2 posts without dropping in how long they'd been a hockey fan for.

They're just attention seeking just like the people who insist on commenting on a thread about X TV show to say they've never watched an episode. It's a bit sad that they are so desperate to be relevant to people on here that they insist on posting about here. Just Ignore/block them and let them have their whines and tantrums they aren't not worth your time.

For what it's worth I've been enjoying this season. are there things i'd like to be different , sure but i recognise that's likely nostalgia, same reason why all the best PC games came out in the late 90's and Music was better in my day.

The vibe I'm picking up from the forum is that everyone (or virtually everyone!) is behind the team, thinks Aaron Fox is doing a pretty good job and generally enjoying things a lot more compared to the previous 4 seasons.

Comments on game threads I read tend to echo the comments made by Aaron Fox in post-game interviews.

It's a shame some former posters need to have constant snipes, if they don't like the forum then ignore it! Also sad that two people who work for the club feel the need to have a dig too. Ironic that the original tweet is from someone who used to post proflically on here and could be critical of the very club official he tags in to the tweet!

I haven't voted as I am somewhere in the middle.

Whilst the team is doing well it's not all rosy in the hockey garden.

Saturday for example was a mind numbingly bad game of hockey to watch, with few highlights, the main being the big hit by Kohlemainen which lifted the crowd.

Even the daughter said it was a boring game but was it so because Manchester for the whole played a solid game of shutting us down or did we have an off night. Perhaps a bit of both.

We won, we move on.
I’m pretty much in the same mindset. I also haven’t voted. I needed an option in the middle.

I’ve made no secret that I’ve found the hockey difficult to watch for the majority of this season. I think that’s the league as a whole though, not just the Steelers. I am pleased to read and hear that I’m very much in the minority though and I’m really pleased a lot of people are enjoying the hockey in the EIHL.

Fox has done a good job compared to the complete garbage that was served up by PT. Fox has brought the never say die attitude which is what the Steelers should be all about.

I think things will continue to improve and I’m already looking forward to what next season will bring. I hope there’s a trophy or two this season though.

I very much wanted to put 3 options but wanted the poll to reflect exactly what they thought it should be like, like I said in the op no details, no in between for the poll as it clearly doesn't fit their narrative... of course there are plenty of gray areas but thats the whole point... they dont want to portray it that way.. they want the 6% (currently) to represent Steeltalk..
Dave asks in the twitter post,
Does that (steeltalk) still exist? Do people still go there..?
Well his friend Jonathan Fearnley, who is Commentator for Steelers TV and co-presenter of the Steelers podcast has just joined the forum..
Welcome @jjfearnley I hope you give the forum a chance and actually read what people have to say rather than what others report back out of context just to muddy the water...
You may find we are not actually as a bad bunch of fans as some people you know would have you believe... 8-)

Compared to Simms and his mate Thommo’s teams, this season has been like a breath of fresh air blowing through Steeler land.
