All well and good and I hope everyone complies, but it doesn't say if we have to wear masks whilst seated.Jayboy wrote: ↑Fri Dec 10, 2021 3:39 pmFrom the Steelers website:
https://sheffieldsteelers.co.uk/steelers-statement-4/The Sheffield Steelers would like to confirm that after discussions with the Utilita Arena Sheffield that all visitors will need a face mask when entering the arena.
The safety of all of our fans, players and staff are of upmost priority to the club and inline with Government advice we would ask that you co-operate with this request.
If all fans attending Saturday’s game could please ensure that they arrive as early as possible this will assist in the speed and flow of spectators gaining admission to our home building.

If you aren't wearing a mask or fail to provide COVID certification if asked you won't be able to enter our venues.
*Continue to wear a face covering in busy, communal areas such as corridors and concourses, if you are willing to do so.
I hope that clears it up for you lol

Covid-19 update - Plan B restrictions and guidance
New restrictions and guidance have been announced by the Government as part of its move to Plan B to help prevent the spread if the Covid-19 Omicron variant.
People are asked to work from home if they can from Monday (13 December)
Face masks are now compulsory in most public indoor venues, other than hospitality
Anyone visiting a nightclub and some other large events will need to show they’re fully vaccinated, have had a negative test result in the last 48 hours, or have an exemption, before being allowed entry.
It’s important that everyone remains vigilant to help protect themselves and loved ones by preventing the virus from spreading further.
In addition to the measures mentioned above, that means keeping on with regular handwashing and keeping rooms well-ventilated – particularly if you’re mixing with other households.
Getting fully vaccinated and regular testing remain the best ways to stay safe and if you haven’t yet had the vaccine, it’s not too late – you can book an appointment online at www.nhs.uk
I am sorry but, I dont see any confusion there... we may not like the new rules, but its clear to me that masks should be 100% worn at the arena..

The arena website actually quotes, includes Sheffield City Hall, ‘Everyone will be required to wear a mask when they are inside our buildings this includes both communal areas and when you are watching an event’. I take this to mean all the time you are in the building.Ron 25 wrote: ↑Fri Dec 10, 2021 4:55 pmThanks, I didn't see that in the original cut and pasted statement.Jayboy wrote: ↑Fri Dec 10, 2021 4:11 pmStatement from the Arena: https://www.utilitaarenasheffield.co.uk ... 9-update-2Ron 25 wrote: ↑Fri Dec 10, 2021 3:59 pmAll well and good and I hope everyone complies, but it doesn't say if we have to wear masks whilst seated.Jayboy wrote: ↑Fri Dec 10, 2021 3:39 pmFrom the Steelers website:

Somehow I can't see our incredibly on the ball arena staff turning people away if the queues start to form round the building.
Or if arguments start.
Bags, scans, mask, covid pass checks.
Gonna be a riot on Boxing Day.

I agree they should but how can they deal with non compliance. ?
The Arena says verbal exemptions will be accepted and the latest guidance says wear a mask if you choose to do so.
It is a nonsense. No one can be asked to prove they are exempt as it infringes human rights about not having to disclose your personal details or medical record.

There is no human right to decline to supply your personal details to someone who is entitled to ask for them. For example a police officer.
If you decline to state whether you are vaccinated or not then the Arena staff can eject you from the building. And they should.
If you lie and state you are vaccinated when you are not you deserve a good kicking.
Don't want to follow the rules ? , fine but accept the consequences of your decision , which are you will not be watching the game from inside the arena.
