I will post details on this soon.
I just don't want to come across as some bitter and twisted person because there's so much I need to say or put out there without wanting to cause further issues.

Can I ask that you create a separate topic thread when you do Rob, it will make it easier to have a proper discussion and not confuse the DeLuca thread...Robert Mansell wrote: ↑Thu Dec 09, 2021 10:39 amI will post details on this soon.

Look forward to reading the details, I've heard a few stories in relation to ex players & how they've been treated.Robert Mansell wrote: ↑Thu Dec 09, 2021 10:39 amI will post details on this soon.

I dont think this is an issue with how past players have been treated in all honesty, by all accounts our club is nothing but very professional with playing staff and internal player matters and most players hold the club in a very high regard as they should.. the issue has been and still is the social media output.. and how they treat fans who have an opinion they dont agree with.Look forward to reading the details, I've heard a few stories in relation to ex players & how they've been treated.
The club can't say a word bud, they know the score.. The truth hurts sometime, no one wishes to drag the name of the club through the mud, if anyone as done that its DeLuca himself.. it happened on their watch and indirectly their issue..Will do, perhaps I won't get the flak then for the deluca issue from the club
If past statements and actions from the club and players and their media department cause further embarrassment, they need to look to within, rather than throwing the dummy out and trying to blame the fans...

Genuinely a bit sad reading this. The Steelers are in a little danger here of alienating some of the bedrocks of the fanbase. The big orange commercial monster may lose its inertia at some stage, those same fans will suddenly be needed again to keep the tills rolling until the next wave of enthusiasm for the sport returns amongst the general public.
The club does a lot right, better than most in this league and that should be rightly acknowledged.
But an experienced hand is needed to connect the fans and ownership. A cohesive Steelers with every one pulling in the same direction only benefits everyone connected with the club. I'm interested to understand what (or who) is reluctant to do this and why.

Since he's not playing for us now and it didn't end in a good way, isn't it about time for the club to remove his picture from the background on the website.
Every time you look on there De Luca is Lurking on the left.

Unfortunately if you have an opinion that’s different to the club you will be looked at in a poor light. It’s been like that for years and came to a head when Paul Thompson was the coach. Whilst Dave Simms is at the helm it will stay the same.Steeling thunder wrote: ↑Thu Dec 09, 2021 7:28 pmGenuinely a bit sad reading this. Whilst I personally think a statement from the club would be a good idea I don't get the demand for more information. In the original announcement the the stated quite clearly no further comment would be made - end of! BTW I'm not a particular fan of the way things seem to be going and agree re comments about shirt raffles etc.
