Seen him play for Banská. Good technically, more of a playmaker from what I saw. A bit lightweight.JoeySlats#13 wrote:https://www.eliteprospects.com/player/1 ... an-ihnacak

We don’t do toughness at the Steelers.

Toughness in hockey can be in many forms. I would not say that the Steelers as an organization would lack toughness, especially within their history. I am sure there have been many posts and discussions over the years on here regarding 'toughness'.
Historically in my short 20 years of watching the Steelers, the Steelers were all about snarl and in your face hockey. The main reason I was hooked on hockey was to watch the tough guys, pantomime villains, fights, big hits and a no nonsense approach which was the Steelers DNA.
Yes, the game has changed, but I don’t personally enjoy the current style of play. There isn’t enough skilful players in the EIHL for it to be all about speed and skill IMO. We are long way away from our historical tough teams of old.
This current crop of players would run scared against the grand slam team of the millennium, probably the toughest team I’ve even seen in the UK. Panthers had a proper tough team as well. Games against them back then and others were real rivalry not the stuff Simms makes up today.
I would say though, Fox is doing a great job and think we’re in good hands even if I don’t particularly enjoy our general style of play. I do still enjoy watching the games. Just not as good as times of old with my Orange (teal in my day lol) tinted glasses on

For me toughness is the ability to win games that you really shouldn't have , short benched , carrying injuries, ref not being kind , standing up to bigger players because it's what your team needs at that moment. Thats the toughness that wins titles and thats the toughness I remember best from the early days.

Tim Cranston, Tommy Plommer, just two of the smallest guys to wear our jerseys with the biggest heart you could have.mark wrote: ↑Wed Dec 01, 2021 11:17 pmFor me toughness is the ability to win games that you really shouldn't have , short benched , carrying injuries, ref not being kind , standing up to bigger players because it's what your team needs at that moment. I'd also include Mike Peron with Cranny and Tommy.
