He had 31 points, 12 goals and 19 assists in his 19/20 season, we need bodies and a points replacement from Connolly and or Deluca which is potentially a big loss..

I think Sandstrom would be a good addition on the wing, decent on the PP, different style to DeLuca (assuming that's who he will be replacing)

Noticed on Elite Prospects that this guy is also rumoured to be leaving the same Czech side as Sandstrom, possibly a double swoop?
Looks like this guy can play center, although I have no knowledge if that is his preferred or better position.

If our replacements were Sandstrom and Valdix we'd potentially be giving up a lot of goals, although probably improving defensively.
Always difficult to say, but I'd suggest DeLuca and Connolly are worth about 45 goals a season, whereas I'd probably combine Sandstrom and Valdix for 25.
It's a difficult balancing act, because this time of year is notoriously difficult for picking up players, especially in a Pandemic.
Do we wait for better options and risk further injuries to our short bench or jump in now with players who are probably not what we would have wanted in June, but are available and we know they'll fit in well?
A tough call, but I'll trust the Fox.

Mitchell Heard has left another Steelers side, the DEL’s Bietigheim Steelers.

Has a strong CV so you’d imagine clubs across Europe will be alert to his availability.

Probably beyond our budget, but if we could afford him that would be an excellent replacement.SteelerBlade wrote: ↑Tue Nov 30, 2021 11:39 amMitchell Heard has left another Steelers side, the DEL’s Bietigheim Steelers.

A decent age, obviously takes no nonsense looking at those PIMs, good size and a more than acceptable points production.

Think sides in the likes of Finnish Liiga, ICEHL will be looking at him.Doom wrote:Probably beyond our budget, but if we could afford him that would be an excellent replacement.SteelerBlade wrote: ↑Tue Nov 30, 2021 11:39 amMitchell Heard has left another Steelers side, the DEL’s Bietigheim Steelers.
