Fife have signed 26 year old Canadian defenceman Colton Waltz.

https://fifeflyers.co.uk/64_signing_coltonwaltz.html

Waltz joins the Kirkcaldy based outfit from ECHL side Cincinnati Cyclones. This is not his first experience of European hockey as he iced for French Ligue 2 side Strasbourg last season. He made a sole AHL appearance for Bakersfield Condors in the AHL during the 2015-16 season.

He was an alternate captain for the Brandon Wheat Kings for three seasons as a junior.

Clan have added 26 year old American defenceman Mitch Jones to their roster.

The left shot is no stranger to Clan coach Malcolm Cameron; having worked with him at Romanian side Gyergyói HK. Prior to the move to Eastern Europe, Jones spent four and a bit seasons in the ECHL with Alaska Aces; Utah Grizzlies; Cincinatti Cyclones and Jacksonville Ice Men.

He is son of former NHLer Brad Jones and older brother of Anaheim winger Max.

The signing of Jones comes with the release of 6”3” 216lb defenceman Médric Mercier.

He iced 3 times registering an assist.

The 34 winger iced 15 times registering just 1 assist after taking 3 years out of the game due to brain tumours.

An unfortunate situation but maybe for the best, last thing he needs is a hit to the head.
MacLeod has found himself a new side, Norwegian 2nd tier side the Narvik Arctic Eagles are his new home.

The 34 year old, who had to learn to walk & talk again after being given 3 years to live in 2018, beat the cancer and now has the security of a 18 month deal.

I see Storm have now signed Mercier who was released by the Clan.
Storm must already be pushing towards their allowed player change limits for the whole season.

I swear these 2 teams are always swapping players every season!

Well Fife have a new signing in place; and it's not Ben O'Connor.

Fife have acquired "speedy" forward Brandon Magee, a 27 year old Canadian forward.

https://fifeflyers.co.uk/68_signing_brandonmagee.html

The forward won an Allan Cup Championship in 2016-17 with Lacombe Generals. He has also iced in the KHL with Kunlun Red Star in 2019-20 where Belfast defenceman Griffin Reinhart was a team mate.

Looks a good signing that, Kometa Brno are a good organisation and they had him on a year deal with a year option.

Obviously for whatever reason didn’t work out but this is a signing of a calibre comfortably above what Fife usually go for.

Belfast being in Jonathan Boxill to bolster their squad as cover through the busy festive period.

Experience at this level with Belfast before as well as Nottingham & Milton Keynes.

He’s also an EIHL Title winner with Belfast 18/19.
