We played well in patches, but well within ourselves and not at our best by a long shot.. But to be honest thats all we needed to do..

So we leave a little sauce in the bottle for tomorrows meal up in Coventry...

Its exactly how we should be playing it, there is no value in having a barnstorming game with lots of potential niggles and suspensions when you have an potential banana skin away game the very next day, when you can win playing that type of game with relative ease...

I say again, in season past under the best coach we have ever had!!! We would have lost that game... heads would have gone down and the next game would have been on the back foot with a similar result...

We won without breaking to much of a sweat, which is exactly how to win if you have the talent to do so... :)

I would't agree that it was a dreadful night at all.

We all know the kind of game Storn try to olay and we stopped it. They've been a bit of a bovey side away this season and in years gone by we could have easily lost it... Sides that win ugly win leagues and we managed it toight.

Good result tonight despite not being at our best. Sign of a championship team when you can grind out a win when you are not having your best night. Really liked the black shirts. They looked very professional uniforms and a welcome change from the depressing orange. Tine for a change of image for us I think.

That was a struggle. For whatever reason, and I dont think it was deliberate, we struggled to get out of second gear. Luckily there were a few individuals who dragged the team on. Vally, Eberle, Connolly, Tronc, Davey and Ben (who's form and confidence is finally sky rocketing) were excellent.
The Histrionics of Ginn when he was fore checked by Sandstrom was pitiful. He could have been penalised-for that; as well as a swing of his stick at Sandstrom, and Gagnon could also have had another penalty for the same incident.
But it is a mark of a team challenging for the silverware that they can get the W when nowhere near their best.

I have got to agree about ben I have been critical most of the season about his performances but for the last few weeks he is showing how important he is to the team.man of the match for me last night .

Absolutely agree with you. I too have been critical but last night he played really well with a lot of the little flourishes that he is well know for (remember that penalty shot  ). Thank goodness that the real BC is back the team is certainly better for it.

Liked a lot of things about our game last night, thought we coped very well with a team stacked with big guys who play a fairly heavy game. The best and biggest hits all night coming from our European lads. So not the best, or prettiest hockey we have played but did what needed doing and got another 2 points in the bank.
