Been out of the loop for a while here.
Got a bit of catching up to do it would seem.

:hey:
You need to get doing a bit of reading bud... :geek:
Or perhaps just turn up to the 1st game and look confused for an hour.
It worked for Paul Thompson for a couple of seasons and he was the best coach to ever stand behind our bench... :? :Gob:
Are we still allowed to mention him by name?
Thought he was Voldermort round these parts.

Implementation of the Paul Thompson taboo as been rescinded whenever his name was spoken aloud, DS Snatchers were alerted to the location of the speaker. ... Anyone who dared to speak the name and break the Taboo would be hunted down as criminals or keyboard warriors. But the fight was fought and won in the online battle know as the resistance v the Davidians and the name holds no power whatsoever anymore. In fact the opposite is true now, although they have now replaced the name by what they hope to be a much more powerful spell called 'Sweet Caroline'

You gotta love a bit of Jayboy sarcasm.
Hockey fan since 1980, Steeler since day one.

Sarcasm is the ability to insult idiots without them realizing it, it is my natural defense against stupidity.
I dont worry about what certain people think anymore. They don’t do it often enough to cause me an issue anymore... :geek:

With Barry Brust arriving on Monday now he has his visa, Steelers have moved to add 6”6” Slovenian netminder Rok Stojanovič to a try-out deal.

https://www.eliteprospects.com/player/1 ... stojanovic

The 31 year old joins from the French Ligue Magnus where he’s iced the last 4 seasons posting decent numbers in terms of SV%.

His previous experience is in his homeland in the domestic Slovenian league as well as Slovenian AlpsHL side HDD Jesenice.

Kevin Schulze is still awaiting visa approval.

So if Rok Stojanovič plays fantastic through his try out, does that mean that we sign him I wonder?

Quite a big effort just to play two exhibition games and a bit of training.

Two import goalies would mean an import would need to be scratched each game?

Play Churchfield as back up (gate opener). Split load for 2 imports through season.

There is rumoured interest from higher level Austrian ICEHL side in Travis Oleksuk.

Allegedly we’d be after former Cardiff winger Matias Sointu as his replacement.

https://www.eliteprospects.com/player/1 ... ias-sointu

Would be a big blow.

Not someone I remember at all and as a forward I normally consider that a bad thing... :slaphead:

Looking at his EP stats I can see why, so it wouldn't be a remarkable swap out.. but Travis Oleksuk has hardly made waves either so probably like for like, which in itself is disappointing because I can only see the benefit of replacing an established (albeit only a couple of month) player with better quality.. and I dont see this being that different.. 8|
