It's good to see one of these threads again.

Looks like we're going to be a few players down this weekend. On the induction day, I seem to remember the Steelers saying they were 3/4 players down on the day, however no word since of their arrival.

Looking forward to taking the trip down

If we are a few players down I think that's poor organisation.

It's not as if we've not had plenty of time to plan.

I expect Panthers to take this one having already had two pre-season games.

Heading down to Nottingham to watch this.

Hopefully we'll be more or less at full strength.

I always look forward to the first game, whilst it's meaningless in terms of points, it's good to see what the new players bring to the table. Hopefully this season we'll be a bit stronger at faceoffs......I'd take 50/50.

I think I'll go on Latal watch for this one. His record suggests he couldn't hit a barn door from a yard, but will his speed create chances in our league?

Regards

A lot depends on if Brust makes it or not, although sticking Churchfield into a nothing game will give him a chance to get some early ice.

Good chance to implement systems & build fitness.

Is that 3/4 players down as in...

3 or 4

Or

3 quarters ?

I saw a post on The Cage suggesting we were missing a couple of players, one of whom was Brust.

Considering the season starts for proper next week, it will be a bit disappointing if our number one netminder has had no warm up games.

Any idea who else is missing?

Regards

I believe the missing players are potentially Brust and Schulze. A bit disappointed personally if it is the case considering the clubs are charging full whack for these exhibition games and key players are missing. Visa issues I was told was the issue but you'd think these would have been sorted. These signings have been in place a very long time!

If that is the case I completely agree.

Good job we weren’t in the CHL as we’d have had to be ready much earlier.
