Can someone please turn the volume down of the music and the announcements. I find it very difficult to hold a convesation even in the warm up.Does Mr Simms have to scream down the mike .It really does feel uncomfortable .

At no other rink/arena do I have to suffer the excessive volumes experienced at the Sheffield Arena. Constant shouting/screaming through the PA
Much more pleasant experience watching Steelers away.
If Tony thinks the drums are an issue - address the Whitehouse next!

Got to agree. The problem is that the louder it is turned up the harder it is to actually understand what is being said as it becomes distorted through the speakers. All he ever says anyway is essentially , “ Buy something .”. !
What about some drums to drown him out ? .....oops, only kidding.

You could say a certain someone likes the sound of his own voice. But then again we knew that already.
Hockey fan since 1980, Steeler since day one.

Add to all that is the very poor acoustics in the arena and the outdate and very poor sound system bouncing all that poor quality back of the ice into the steel roof...

Got to agree with all that, for me the "C'mon Sheffield" screamed at you only turns me off, what does annoy me is when the team turn it on and the crowd start's to get involved he will play some annoying music which kills the moment but having said all that nothing will change, it hasn't for the last 20 years I've been attending.
Even under the Matsos days when the attendance was about 1500 to 2000 he just did the same shouting "C'mon Sheffield, it does no good whatsoever but it wont change.

Even worse for many of us is shouting ‘Yorkshire’ as fans also come from Derbyshire, Lincolnshire and dare I say Nottinghamshire.
Sheffield Steelers are based in South Yorkshire not Yorkshire anyway!

Don't agree, the Steelers are a Yorkshire team. Where you or I come from is irrelevent in my opinion.

100% correct with that one, the chant of ‘Yorkshire’ or any similar chant is based on the location of the team and has no baring whatsoever on where any of the fans are from. I’m from West Yorkshire but if I had chosen to follow Manchester storm I would expect the clubs fans to sing pro Lancashire songs at times potentially, it would be my decision whether I joined in with them or not (I wouldn’t on both counts)
