Cardiff lose 5-2 to Dundee. Wonder which Dundee player Lord will ask for supplementary discipline on?
Makes this game and the 4 point weekend huge for us!

Well we had more than enough for Belfast. That last period saw the Belfast players skating round exhausted. Well played guys. Deserved win. Davies, Tron and Eberle were immense but the captain never stopped. Still think it was the right decision to give the Belfast guy 2+2 for the high hit. But he kicked off to the ref whilst sat in the box so he got what he deserved.

I’m genuinely puzzled by posts on here telling us that it was a poor game to watch. I’m certainly no expert and I’ve only been watching hockey for about 25 years. It was fast, full of action, often end to end, had an edge to it certainly from Giants. There were some remarkable demonstrations of skill, not least the goaltending from Duba. There were periods when each side was dominating though mostly Steelers.
By the way how many sides could turn in a performance like that while missing the first line of Dowd, DeLucca and Connolly? A great evening.

Is that the second home game in a row with Belfast that Pelech has left the game early?

Not sure how that was a poor game to watch to be honest. It was a great game IMO which was more of a battle than the skill and flair we’re used to seeing.
Not bad for a bunch of egotistical prima-donna’s

Well it was edge of the seat stuff for me too, really enjoyed the skill, effort and attitude. Players seem to be buying into the idea that if they work hard enough for each other results will follow. They seem a very happy bunch on and off the ice. Credit to Fox and the several real characters in the team for this.
Duba has been extraordinary in the last three games against three very good teams. I hope they can keep going against the weaker teams because in the past few years we have done well against good teams ( we beat Nottingham 7 times last year ) but then slipped up against the teams near the foot of the league.
Loving this season.
Great backing from the crowd and a super atmosphere especially near the end.

Really enjoyed the game, edge of your seat stuff for the most part.
This team have found what they need to do to give themselves a chance of winning every game, hard work.
What with the fire power up front any team we play cannot take a minute off or we will pounce and score.
Thought the Pelech call was fair, the puck was well gone, there was no need to make the challenge at all and he turned back to make the challenge which was dangerously high.

I'd take him in a heartbeat. Under Fox his toughness would be channeled properly.
Someone like him is pretty much the last piece of the jigsaw in an already good side.
