My first game for a while and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

We had a lot more quality, but Coventry look such a well coached team making the best of what they have.

If we do move on from Fox, I think we could do a lot worse than the Coventry coach.

I thought it was a very good night for Tait, so he'd be my motm along with Watling.

Regards

Decent game tbf if a bit scrappy in parts, Coventry are a good side and with the right backing can only get better.

As a side note the drum section were outstanding tonight and for once the itchy fingered music button operator let them dictate the atmosphere, although I suppose it was inevitable that the Whitehouse would high jack the Tequila song at some point and blast it through the creaking PA system at deafening volume.

Really enjoyed watching this one, started breaking down a bit a start if 3rd but thankfully got going again.

Was willing Tait and Ritchie (and Shudra a couple of times tbh) to put one in to no avail lol

Some line shuffling again but thought for the most part it worked well, I thought Juusola looked good with Ritchie too.

Can’t put my finger on it but D looks more settled somehow of late.

Dougherty.

He's been quietly excellent for the last few games. I think was after the valentine's Coventry game, Fox mentioned he'd played through a broken finger(s) for the first half of the season. I suspect he's now at way more like full fitness and we're seeing what was expected at the start of the year.

Huttula has also picked up his game which helps massively

I think having Tansey back on D and Dougherty massively improving has helped a lot defensive wise.

Has there been anyone better at penalty shots than Balmas?

I also think McAdam is the better goalie facing penalty shots than Greenfield is (just).

Yep - totally agree. I feel like McAdam comes forward more aggressively and forces the shot, which I feel is way more effective.
