Very sad news indeed. Best wishes to his family and friends.

Just a little bit before my time, but quite a few of the old school fans I know certainly hold Jason in very high regard indeed.

I’m sure the club will have a suitable tribute ready for our next home game, which would be great to honour his fantastic contribution to the Steelers.

Such sad news... those days will never ever be repeated, and its guys like these, that kept me coming back each year after year and every year we see less and less of those type of character's.. And in my opinion Hockey in our country is worse for it... Each time one of them retires or sadly passes away its just one more wound I have to deal with in my memory of the days of fantastic hockey and fantastic coaches coaching us....

What a player! Don’t we all remember those days when he lit the lamp with such grace and apparent ease. Gone much too soon and after delighting so many people. I’m sure we all wish his family all the very best.

Probably one of the best to play here, even if only for 2/3rds of a season. Great hands, effortless skating to the point where he looked lazy, but then would always be in the right spot and an absolute monster at holding on to the puck when cycling round the boards.

Worth watching any of the games from that season that are on YouTube - especially the playoff semis and final. Both semis are worth a watch too, although be prepared for the Notts Vs Ayr game - I believe was the longest game until our game Vs Cardiff in 2017
