Have mixed feelings about this. Don't disagree that there was no sense in taking on debt but am disappointed that yet again our sport gets little or no support from anyone.
What's more worrying is how many of the GB team can possibly compete at the Worlds with no match practice. Let's be honest it was going to be a struggle to remain in the top flight anyway but not only could I see us being embarrassed but also possibly more injuries and a loss of respect and standing in the international hockey community. This year may be the end of some players' international careers and in very disappointing circumstances for them.
Don't know what they will do but I would support team GB if they decided to drop out and pour public shame on our Government and the media for their lack of support.

They’ve just announced there’ll be no relegation at the Worlds this year but it’ll still be very tough to take the beatings we’re likely to take.
