Panthers will be hoping for a response after a zero point weekend, but they also play Friday in Manchester. Hopefully we can try and take advantage of that.

Be interesting to see who the healthy scratch is. Personally I'd be looking at one of the D - only Cormier and Dougherty imho so far are locks to play, and I'd like to see Southorn back in as he gives that extra threat with his shot.

I'm assuming Greenfield probably starts, with Mac getting the Manchester home game. Both played well so far so no need to ride the hot goalie as such.

Not for this game, but what are the away blocks in Nottingham usually? Going to try and get there at some point this season

It's funny how people see the game and players. I've been underwhelmed by Dougherty slightly in the two games I've seen him, and interestingly he's at the bottom of +/- with a minus 3. Lots of factors to take into account of course.

Dougherty is never going to be flashy though, and +/- through 2 games means nothing. Just going back over the goals conceded - not on ice for either Guildford goal. First against Cardiff is a mistake by Huttula in firing the puck into an on rushing forward creating the turnover on the offensive blue line. Second is over commit by 1 D (might have been Dougherty) leading to 2 on 1 the other way. The OT winner was technically even strength as Dowd just left the box but was effectively a PP goal with no one really at fault.

If it was him who over committed for that Cardiff goal (can't tell from highlights), then it's about the only error he's made in 2 games. Watch him closely this weekend - he invites the contact in his own zone, from the F1 only to then move it along to his D partner who gets an easy exit is unbelievable. His board play in his own zone is excellent.

To add as well, the official site has him at -1 for the Guildford game when he wasn't on the ice for either goal.

Seems it's still early season for the stat guys :D
