Good add by Glasgow - they're looking pretty solid, maybe finally the year they do something!

I think the league is beyond them due to depth but wouldn't put a cup/playoff run past them

A lot depends on Burke - if he stays fit he could be league MVP

Fife sign netminder Christian Purdoo from Queens Uni in USports
He was netminder of the year last season and made the All Star team

That looks another excellent signing for Nottingham.

Straight out of Liiga and prior to that some big numbers in the ECHL and USports.

This guy has the potential to be the top scoring defenceman in the league and his +/- are also good.

Noel looks the business to be fair.

So far it's looking like a 3 horse race between Belfast, Nottingham and us for the league. Cup and playoffs I think there's probably 6 teams who could win them if they go on a run.

Still a few unknowns with Belfast roster. Outstanding rumours are 2 D and a forward, so I think they've still got 1 D and 4 forwards as complete unknowns. I suspect Baum is the D and Carpenter is one of the forwards. They've probably got the best Brit core now, and their forward group should be good. D with the 2 rumours+ Roach, Hanson and Jones I'm inclined to say looks the weakest of the big 3, but there's not loads in it.

Belfast re-signs Gabe Bast. Interesting as given the rumours, you'd say that's their last import D unless they are going to carry a spare. Unless Baum isn't re-signing.

Having the best Brit core doesn’t worry me one bit to be honest. Most (not all) of the Brits are an average import standard player at best.

Plus I doubt the better Brits are cheap on the payroll either, as they know they’re a more precious commodity because of the EIHL rules.

I’d prefer to spend my budget on a better import player than have a better Brit core of players.

Giants sign Jake Gaudet - 44 games in AHL for 11pts (3+8) last year. Solid AHL experience. Should be a solid pick up
