We can but hope but I didn't see any signs of that at all last year. Was a big surprise with his resume and career how poor he was. I actually thought he was worse that Mcfadden and Martinelli defensively which was major surprise with regards to where he came from. Weak, soft, gave up the puck more often than not in the d zone.

Based on latest roster requirements
Maximum bench 20
13 imports - 8 signed
Minimum 3 u25 Brits. - Jones, Graham, (backup n/m?). Shudra on 2way
Leaves 4 over 25 Brits. - J Phillips, D Phillips, Dowd.
So we can still recruit an Over 25 Brit & 5 imports to ensure maximum bench 20

The figures I give are Bench size on any given game day.
There is no reason the ‘squad’ cannot be much larger. We can carry spare imports but the maximum we can sign in the season is 18.
However if we’ve reached that number a 19th can be signed if it relates to a netminder.

I think the financial and national uncertainly of sport and Icehockey in this country would also be a factor that we may start the season with what we need in line with the regulations and then potential extend as injuries/circumstances become clearer, whether that stays that way or not I don’t know and there’s a huge chance Im wrong but at the moment all things considered I’m expecting James B to be one of the D core/swing player as opposed to a spare additional option (or any player to be a spare or additional option for that matter)

Either than or hope Bettauer has found the form that's seen him play 7 years in DEL.
