Was massively impressed with Fossier in the Playoff Final, thought he was immense, one of the reasons why (along with Grande) that Panthers won yesterday,

If the Brandon to Giants rumours are true we have an acute and mid term crisis on the Brits front.
Kelly isn't looking like a short term 6th d man option (may develop into one with time), Dowd is ageing, and whilst Shudra and Ulrick do decent 4th line role Fox rapidly benched the fourth line when things not going well. We do need to start the season with the plans and personnel to run four full forward lines.

Though this may be a little early in the grand scheme of things, have any of the Dogs Brits impressed enough to suggest they may be ready to step up? If not this season maybe in the next couple?paul johnston wrote: ↑Mon Apr 21, 2025 2:00 pmIf the Brandon to Giants rumours are true we have an acute and mid term crisis on the Brits front.

I suspect Bjorkly Nordstrom is likely to be the one. His potential ceiling is probably the highest, and given his size he should be able to manage the transition better.Keith Sheppard wrote: ↑Mon Apr 21, 2025 2:30 pmThough this may be a little early in the grand scheme of things, have any of the Dogs Brits impressed enough to suggest they may be ready to step up? Given we do look potentially light on Brits, I think a gamble on Brown could also be more likely

IBN is easily the guy I'd be looking at. We do need to be able to run four full lines and not bench the fourth line at the drop of a hat to play the fast, skating hockey that Fox seems to be keen on.ginger wrote: ↑Mon Apr 21, 2025 3:42 pmI suspect Bjorkly Nordstrom is likely to be the one. Re the Kieran Brown possibility, I do remember at the shirt launch this past August, Tony Smith talked about Brown, saying he offers him a contract most seasons. He doubted he had the commitment of someone like Dowd to really want to be in the EIHL. The inference was that he preferred to be a big fish in a little pond up at Leeds. I wonder if his call up to the GB squad and experience working with those players will affect his thought process?

They'll have a fantastic Brit group, one that will be hard to match for anybody in the League.
