I thought we were always on top, but we never looked like scoring.

No doubt we deserved the two points, but we're making hard work of games.

I dont expect this Steelers team to win any silverware, although I'll be pleasantly surprised if we do.

The playoffs seem to be our best bet, but with 4 fairly similar quality teams and others capable of causing a shock I wouldn't put our chances of winning those at better than 1 in 5.

Now if Golod was to return before the end of the season I think our chances would improve, because he gives us 3 balanced forward lines (subject to injuries).

Regards

Don't think we'll see Golod this season but I really hope I'm wrong! He would definitely round out the forward lines much better.

Good to see Vainio get that winner, as he'd been very good all game. Think he's getting in to his stride a bit after injury and showing a few glimpses to suggest he could be a strong pick up in this league. If we can get Diffley back I'd argue that Vainio is ahead of Guimond in the depth chart at the moment.

Easy to see what we lose when Simpson is out of the line up. Face offs, but also he creates loads of space by effectively driving play north, and pushing the D deep in to their own zone. Missed that last night

Another game highlighting the weak aspects of our game. Taking extra passes when shooting options, general weak finishing, poor pp.
Was glad to see Veeti get out on the 3v3 OT, a guy who can skate and pass for fun and what a goal it was. ..

Great to see Scott Allison back at the Arena, still one of the top, favourite players of mine to pull on the shirt. Some player, and some fighter! A legend.

As for the announcer going on about Westerling as a legend. Good guy, hard worker but wouldn't describe him as a legend. His effort and energy was top notch.
