This is probably the best Nottingham team for a few seasons, although surprisingly they blew a 2 goal lead against Guildford last night.
It will be interesting to see how faceoffs go, with both teams currently below 50% (Steelers 49.88 and Panthers 47.57).
In terms of individual faceoff success, of all our players who have taken more than 50 in the season to date, our stats are:

I think we owe the Panthers one for ruining our Christmas 
Play to our best standards and we should win. Play with only one good period and the result might be different.
Belfast v Cardiff double header this weekend is the pick of the fixtures.
Need a split weekend at the minimum from them and a win for us to keep the pressure on. I don't believe Cardiff will have enough with their injuries etc to overcome Belfast though.

Thinking back to Boxing Day, Panthers came out hard and put us on the back foot for the first 10 minutes. Much of that was down to our inability to win a face off.
Whilst we did dominate the majority of the rest of the game, it's always difficult playing catch up.
On Saturday I'd like to see the Simpson line out first. Let's try and win that 1st faceoff and get some puck possession in the Panthers zone.
It looks like it's heading close to a sellout, which is always good to see.
