Excellent night,, cardiff losing at home, us beating belfast in their barn. Hopefully this is the big morale boosting victory we needed. A victory tomorrow at home and we are back in the race. Also then we get a full week off before two home games,, hopefully the hard schedule and confidence lull is over,,
Belfast aren’t anything special and we deserved the win after a slow start.
We appear to have the momentum again. Well done lads.
Play to 90% tomorrow and it will be another straight forward win against Guildford.

Credit to the team for showing some grit and getting the right side of a very difficult spell.
They may not be at their best but surely some self respect has been earned. Well done boys!

Great , gritty performance. Well done. Belfast did not expect to lose that.
I'm a bit worried about the spaces on our bench by the third period. Did not see Dowd or Diffley on there. Hope we have enough personnel for tomorrow.

I was just having a look at a few of the stats from last night.
As usual we were fairly poor at faceoffs, winning only 26 of 69 (38%). Only Simpson broke even with 50%.....Watling very poor again(35%).
Although Belfast had a lot more shots, tracking had us at 52% to win the game, because we created the better chances.
Despite the obvious advantage Belfast had in terms of rest and the luxury of having a healthy scratch (I assume it was Osterberg), it was clearly not a fluke win.
Another good night for Juusola being +3 on the night. Vally had the worst night on -2.
A few concerns with the ice time a couple of players had, which ties in with the comments above:
Dowd only had 07:32 and Diffley 10:55.
All things considered, it was a super effort, but with the loss of Dowd and Diffley on top of the travel schedule, it's going to be incredibly difficult tonight.
Regards

Hopefully precautionary with Dowd and Diffley. Fingers crossed.
Huttula was excellent last night, and Balmas looks to have got some of his jump back. Compete level was good across the board.
Golod. Absolutely must sign for next year. Bags of skill, and plays with a chip on his shoulder. Love it.
Confidence is definitely coming back now starting to get healthier, but I think we're a top 6 centre away from pushing beyond other teams. Market I believe is pretty thin at the moment (see Cardiff seemingly struggling to find reinforcements), but hopefully someone will become available. Without a new centre, it's a bit of a toss up between us, Belfast, Cardiff and Nottingham for who can stay healthy and put a run together
