According to recent press there are 73,105 cases outstanding in the Crown Court, 333,349 outstanding in the Magistrate Court.

Whilst no charges have been made as far as we are aware, Matt’s issues may only just be starting if he joins this queue.

The press reported the inquest into Leicester City’s owners helicopter crash is just starting - 6 years after the incident.

Found this online:

https://www.crowdjustice.com/case/legal ... slaughter/

There is such a registered company and there are other references
to “crowdjustice.com” online suggesting it is legitimate.

It is 100% legit and is now being reported in North American media.
When you post something like that it's always helpful to include a link so it can be assessed and fact checked. There's a lot of things reported in North American Media that are absolute bull crap, to be fair that also applies to most of GBeebies output in this country.

This may be legit, but the way that no one at the moment is "officially" endorsing it, just quiet words in private groups, makes it look like it could be a scam and I don't blame people for being cautious.

And it does not reflect badly on our club, they have done everything possible and are still supporting him.

Not quite an official announcement but:

Nick Rothwell - Yes - I just spoke with
@Simmsey19 he assured me Matt continues to be supported by
@steelershockey but the club is not able to make statements for legal reasons.

Leaning towards it being a genuine now. However numerous trolls and haters have awakened from their slumbers making various allegations which have no basis in facts.

Petgrave continues to be supported by the Steelers, they are just not making any public statements about it, which to be fair is exactly what they are supposed to be doing. I'd still like to see a statement from some official source just acknowledging that the funding appeal is genuine, that is just a statement of fact to allay any fears people may have.

I saw this yesterday and immediately thought it looked like a scam so decided I would hold back until I heard more regarding its legitimacy. It just seems really odd, and wrong, for this to be happening. As others have said, it's ridiculous that it is taking so long. It is so unfair on everyone involved.

unless some-one is posing as him, then the story and site must be genuine.

It does look like it's genuine on that basis. However given the obvious fall out between the organisations and the rumours of Steelers players challenging the reporting by The Star, likely resulting in the non coverage this season unless it involves a death or tragedy, I can understand Steelers fans no longer viewing them as a reliable source for anything including what day it is.

On a related issue thankyou Nottingham for the shirt retirement ceremony recently, this is a Steelers fan saying well done Nottingham.

Correct me if I’m wrong but don’t the EIHL say it is recommended but not mandatory. If that is correct that IS something else THE STAR has incorrect. Personally I believe all players should wear them. My grandson plays ice hockey and at the moment he wears one I hope he continues to do so

This doesn’t pass the smell test. There’s no way the club, league and personal insurance doesn’t cover this.

AFAIK the CPS hasn’t pressed charges yet.
