We probably had the toughest schedule of any team in the CHL and at the start my expectations were 0 points.
We've really punched massively above our weight against some of the European big boys.
On the negative side, I think it's probably impacted on our domestic form and will probably continue to do so.
Good to see us winning a lot of faceoffs tonight, but we really need to get that powerplay firing now.
Well done to all on a fantastic campaign.
Regards
Doom

Well what an adventure this is. From my seat behind the benches the Czechs looked bemused by our determination, skill , speed and team spirit. Pardubice reached the quarter finals last year I am told but no way were we outplayed or outclassed.
We deserved to be there and by gosh we deserved to win .
(Wish they could take penalty shots like that in the league though.)
Well done everybody and that includes the fans who have inspired this underdog British team to great things .

Seeing as how the once mighty organ that is the Sheffield Star no longer carries match reports or stories on the Steelers, unless it's click bait trash of course, here's a reminder of how sports reporting used to work.

Loosely translated:
We were well up for this, we didn't think we would have much of a issue, in fact my lads decided the warm up was optional so we stopped off at McDonald's and arrived a bit later.
Imagine our surprise when Tansey started throwing his weight about and you guys went 2-1 up..
Did we qualify, tell me we did..

I'm sure I read on twitter that Watling was a healthy scratch. Is that actually true?
