Top showing again from this group,,,,,, not sure how chl table works in respect of how many points needed to progress,,,,,, great w/end for steelers and uk hockey
I think 16 of the 24 teams qualify, so you'd think 8 points from 6 games might be enough.

A quick check and last season Belfast just missed out with 8 points, the cut off came at 9 points.

Let's get another win to make sure.

It was a different format back then, but in 2017/18 the Panthers made it through to the next round where they lost 6 - 1 on aggregate to Zurich.

I think we’ll need at least one more point. Two should be enough.

Another deserved win. These elite teams only bringing half a first team are being found out. Good news is Skellefteå didn’t make a hit so we should be clear of any injuries.

Well done lads. Let’s see if we can get one more win in our remaining 2 games.

Sounds like (from Spain) the atmosphere in the last 10 minutes was immense! Even the commentator remarked on the noise level on the stream.

Are Skelleftea the best team to ever set foot in the Sheffield arena? I think so... Different Gravy.. Can we keep score looking at least respectable...

Tremendous effort. The last 5 minutes were deafening , the crowd could see the lads were tiring a bit but lifted them enormously. The Steelers had that something at the end that the Swedes didn't ..Passion.
I've lost my voice again!

Head over to our Yorkshire Post thread for a link to their Steelers weekend round up, seeing as how the Star has given up updating its website for hockey coverage

One thing from the CHL games so far I've loved is when watching on stream, the mic'd up coaches during powerbreaks.

The way Fox communicates with the players is so good. I'd run through walls for a coach like that

I thought this and the last stream against Sparta Prague were very good and I liked both commentators.

Fox throwing the F bombs might not be family friendly whilst listening in, but shows the passion.

The stats shown in between and during the period and period breaks are also very good.

The Steelers stream is the best in the EIHL, but I believe we can learn a thing or two from the CHL streams other than being £12 more expensive!
