6' 7" - 200lbs Ivan Bjorkly- Nordstrӧm joins on a two way... Confirmed

Interesting one this. Definitely got potential, if he has a good year and develops well I can see him getting a full time shot 25/26 season
We now have 6 two way players, definitely a positive move and a sign on how Tony and Aaron are wanting to structure both clubs.

For sure, it's exactly the right approach. Some will need a couple of years (Tate Shudra for example) whereas we know Ulrick and Ripley are pretty much about ready. Perfect pipeline structure.

I get the feeling we'll end up losing some to other EIHL teams (certainly if we get to the reducing import numbers stage in the next couple of years), but it's still what should be done.

Next job is junior development........ that's probably the harder of the 2 though. Got to find a way to make the game a) more affordable to play, and b) getting kids on the ice 3/4 times a week.

Very tough ask

Has it been confirmed whether Ivan is a Brit or an import for the purposes of the EIHL?

He's a Brit - played at least 2 years in Scotland (made conference team for u12s two years running)

Welcome home Sir Marco Vallerand!

The video that has just come up on the Steelers WhatsApp is hilarious!

I'm thrilled to bits with this one.

Sounds like the Allen rumour was incorrect then and it's Vally! Interesting as definitely on the back end of his career, but was top goalscorer last year.

Really are trying to run it back!

I've no issues with this, although he is getting on a bit, his goal scoring second half of last season was outstanding.

He's also responsible defensively.

The question for me is where does this fit with the rumours?

Janatuinen
Leavens
Miceli

Is one of the above incorrect or is Vally an extra?

I've just had a look at Vally's game log for 2024.

22 goals from 31 games.....that's 38 goal a season pace.
