Rumours - Season 24/25

I did have a quick look at a few random games and he seems to have iced with various partners, including Garcia.

I just think he's probably a bit like Despres at Nottingham, the hockey brain is still there, but the legs are starting to go.

For me he'd be nothing more than an OK 3rd line signing, but maybe he's on a Uni course and we've got him on the cheap.

I guess we'll have to wait and see, we may have signed somebody completely different and this conversation is completely irrelevant.

Yeah a few interchangeable pieces. I'd be shocked though if Leavens starts on 3rd. Better numbers than Ciampini in ICEHL, so expect he's top 6.
Janutainen I think may start on 3rd but easily could move up - very similar to Juusola last year

Be interesting to see where all ends up, but I'm pleased with that as a finished roster

I think you're probably correct with Leavens starting on 2 and Janutainen on 3, but I think at some point Fox will try the Finns together.

All assuming the rumours are correct of course.

Well that's messed my line predictions up.

I don't think you can carry Vally as a spare, particularly considering the chemistry he has with Dowd....I think Dad's Army will be back together.

My updated guess:

Ciampini/Watling/Juusola
Balmas/Dowd/Vally
Janatuinen or Miceli/Simpson/Leavens
Shudra/Whistle/Ulrick

Janatuinen or Miceli as a spare to start.

I'd be happy with that as a lineup. I could also see Shudra and Whistle kicking on this season.

Given where it's come from (the rumour that is), I'd say this is highly likely to happen.

The only one so far they've had wrong for us is Morley, who ended up signing elsewhere and rumour was we were in talks, rather than he was a done deal, which stacks up.

The only other rumours from them for Sheffield has been Betker, Janutainen, Miceli, De Fillipo, Leavens and then returnees who have turned out to be correct.

They've not had the Morrow rumour at all, so we'll see

Looking at his CV he was on the same team as Juusola a couple of years ago.

I think it's been obvious on this forum that I'm a huge fan of Nev and didn't think we'd be able to replace him with a player of equal standing.

Looking at this guys recent CV I think he'd be perfect.
