If it's the same post on X (assume so) then it's now all but confirmed. Even though it had been expected these last couple of weeks, I'm still amazed we've managed to keep himKeith Sheppard wrote: ↑Mon Jul 22, 2024 9:14 amAccording to Facebook Balmas is back for another year!![]()

Well done Foxy! It’s obvious that all our players loved playing for each other and for our entertainment. However it’s also clear that they all have huge faith in Fox. The club feels on a very even keel right now. I’m sure we all remember those awful summers when we didn’t even know if we had an owner or coach. Thank goodness a thing of the past. Well done Foxy and well done our owner!

Huge signing. Leagues top scorer has moved on every year since 2018, so this is a huge keep. Greenfield mentioned in his re-signing that it would need to be a very significant/life changing offer to go elsewhere. I suspect Balmas has an out for such an offer but glad we've managed to keep himBryan wrote: ↑Mon Jul 22, 2024 9:50 amWell done Foxy! Absolutely delighted by this news, Balmas was near enough top of my list for players to keep.
He's a player who does everything well including faceoffs when he's used there.
It sounds like he's coming back on a Uni course, which is exactly how we should be using the Uni link up.
Thanks to all at the club for making this happen, that's 4 of our top 6 returning.....5 if you include Ciampini.
Now for the new guys.....
Regards

Excellent, excellent,,,, as thought alot signed early and then a slow release of names over the closed season from the club. Fantastic so many returnees,,, the only slight negative i can see is that other clubs now know what a big part of this team is all about,, where as with new players the opposition would not be as well up about them collectively as a team. Going to be a tough season ahead but we have winners onboard and the key thing in my eyes is to stay injury free

A positive of keeping so many players is that it will be easier to start the new season with people already familiar with each other and the systems used, that could lead to a faster start to the season and help negate the usual issue with European competitions in that the team that qualified for Europe often isn't the one that plays the games given the frequent high turnover between seasons.

Very very nice.
To retain the league top goal scorer/top forward alongside the league best d man (EIHL awards got that wrong) and the league MVP/best goalie is some doing.

Interesting one this. Definitely got potential, if he has a good year and develops well I can see him getting a full time shot 25/26 seasonJayboy wrote: ↑Tue Jul 23, 2024 4:13 pm6' 7" - 200lbs Ivan Bjorkly- Nordstrӧm joins on a two way... Confirmed
