OFFICIAL: Mark Simpson returns to Sheffield for the 2024/2025 season.

Huge get. Hoping he stays healthy this year!

Great to see him back. I thought he was a difference maker when he played and we missed him when he was out injured.

Also, one of the one’s that was on my returnee list.

Massive (both figuratively and literally) signing. Was hoping he'd be back. Such a big body but skating is so smooth. Best 3rd line centre in the league last year by some distance, honestly thought he might end up in a stronger league

Reckon more returnees have already been signed and the club will slowly announce them over a period of time.

Very pleased to see Simpson back, with his size and reach he offers us something a bit different.

As others have mentioned, he's strong at faceoffs and a very good penalty killer.

Hopefully more of last seasons squad still to be announced.
