Interesting listening to the Fox interview.
It sounds like Fox and Morgan are liaising regarding the Dogs imports next season.
I guess Tony will give the Dogs a bigger budget, but also dangle the carrot to potential imports that they may get a chance to step up to the Steelers.
Whilst Dogs supporters maybe a little disappointed that they could lose players to us from time to time, it should also mean they have a much better squad than last season and will hopefully be competing at the top end of the table.
From both clubs point of view I see it as a win win, although I suspect there maybe a bit of whining from supporters of other EIHL/NIHL teams.

There's always whining about anything connected with the Steelers but the Dogs need the same as we did when TS came on board, a period of stability while the rebuild starts. Got to say I am more than happy with the return of Cormier, excellent player for us last season.Doom wrote: ↑Mon Jun 03, 2024 7:01 pmInteresting listening to the Fox interview.

It's exactly what I hoped would happen when TS bought the Dogs. Next step is to bring the junior academy in to the fold to get the pathway lined up. Invest in junior coaching and development and we'll see the benefits (as will the national team)Doom wrote: ↑Mon Jun 03, 2024 7:01 pmInteresting listening to the Fox interview.

It's a long term goal, but I truly believe it's the way we need to develop better British talent and to grow the game in the UK (along with more rinks, but that's a huge investment - not sure where that would come from)
I am thrilled that Cormier is back. Although he obviously enjoyed himself here I thought he might be enticed by "bigger" clubs with more money. He has been a favourite of mine since first joining us so this is great news.
