As far as I'm concerned the club's priority is to those supporters who pay the players wages week in and week out.

At the top of the list is the season ticket holders and then it filters down to those who pay for match tickets week in and week out. It's not the Fife supporters who keep our club solvent, it's the regular Steelers supporters and the club should be doing their best to keep them sweet.

Unfortunately we're in a position where 7,500 into 1,500 just doesn't go, so in my opinion the club are correct to prioritise their own supporters.

If Fife can sell out the game on Sunday with their own regular fanbase, then I'd agree with them taking the same course of action as the Steelers.

As for me, I'm not a season ticket holder, so it will be the webcast without any bleating.

Regards

All good points Doom but I’m sure our fans would be just as frustrated if the situation was reversed.

My 2 cents - should have held back 50 tickets for Fife (maybe via their supporters club if they have one), under the proviso that they confirm today (Tuesday) how many sold and make payment for the tickets. Unsold then go on general sale.

Of course technology and systems may make this more difficult but can usually find a workaround.

Not the clubs fault for the situation but could have handled slightly better

I'm ok with how this is. To offer Fife any tickets would probably amount to 100% of what they require, yet a percentage of home fans would need to go without. I feel home fans should be priority whichever club is in question

Club cannot win whatever it decides. No tickets for away fans or 50 tickets.

Fife only bring about 3 people to the arena so they're hardly going to be bringing many to Ice Sheffield anyway even if there were some tickets.

Yes, it's always great to be there (although personally I can't stand Ice Sheff), but there's a stream offered so just watch it on there, least you can catch the game.

I'm with you jas, in this situation the club need to look after their own.

We could easily have had the situation where a Fife supporter making their first trip to Sheffield gets a ticket at the expense of a 20+ game Steeler.

As for the game itself, I think a 2 goal lead would be acceptable. Anything more than that would be a real bonus.

No doubt there will be some predictions of a big win for us, but I expect Fife to come down with a solid game plan and give 100% effort.

Even if we were to lose by a goal or two, I'd still back this team, but it would be incredibly tough.

Looks like a couple of bars in Kirkcaldy are benefitted from the no tickets via a WebCast:

I see the standards of journalism in Fife are similar to here anyway, a 900 seat arena is what we normally play out of apparently.
