A good result for us last night with Cardiff dropping a point.

Cardiff supporters complaining about the refs, although as far as I can see both teams had equal powerplay opportunities.

It sounds like Guildford were quite dirty. I've noticed a bit more of that side of their game this season. I wonder if they'll try and stir things up a bit in the CC final.

I would not be surprised if various teams use that style of play against us. I may well be their Plan B. If they cannot beat us with skill and speed, they might as well resort to the more physical/dirty side of the game. We may need to grit our teeth and stand firm. We can still get the wins though.
I’d agree and have been saying that for a while. Teams generally can’t live with our speed. So playing more physical is an effective way of trying to slow us down. Plus we don’t play with a physical edge so aren’t used to it. Surprised it’s taken teams this long to try it to be honest.

Looking at the league table we're currently on 73 points, the maximum amount other teams can get are as follows:

Fife - 57 points (out of the running)
Nottingham - 61 points (out of the running)
Glasgow - 64 points (out of the running)
Manchester - 68 points (out of the running)
Dundee - 62 points (out of the running)
Coventry - 66 points (out of the running)
Guildford - 71 points (out of the running)
Belfast - 76 points (we require a max 4 points from 12 games)
Cardiff - 86 points (we require a max 14 points from 12 games)

So 7 teams currently out of the running for the title,.

I've updated the above.

Then there were 3.....although the race for the playoff places remains interesting.

I'd suggest we're in a slightly weaker position than we were last time, but still in a very good place, even with our tough run in.

So we can officially put Belfast's title defence to bed with a double header win against them at the weekend! Nice.

I think a single regulation win would do it.

We'd move on to 75 points and Belfast's maximum total would drop to 74 points.

I think the Play Offs could be the best we’ve seen for a long time. I don’t feel that there’s going to be any easy games for anyone.
