We possibly weren't the best team , but some excellent forward skill , determination and character won that final. What an amazing difference to the last few seasons where we used to go behind and give up.
Connelly and Davis were immense tonight when it really mattered. We were like a punch drunk boxer on the ropes in the second but we came back and at the end it was Cardiff who were making mistakes in defence.
Loved Armstrong's tactic at the face off with 4 seconds left, fall on the puck for three seconds, get the penalty but by then there was no time left for Cardiff. Although how we got a face off there when a Cardiff player knocked off Duba's helmet because we were in a position to score an ENG I will never know.
Well done to everyone, Silverware in Foxies first season ! Awesome. 8i8|
The best team on the day didn’t win that game, but the most clinical team did. We took our chances on almost half the number of shots.

The face off after Duba’s helmet was knocked off should have been outside our zone. I think that’s what Fox was going crazy at, at the end. I don’t think that was his celebration as mentioned in other posts.
It Should also have been a devils Penalty for pulling his Helmet off

Well that has to be right up there as one of the best atmosphere’s I’ve ever been a part of in any sport and sporting event bar none!

Literally heard nothing or very little of the in game announcements or music.

Utterly incredible!

We watched the game at Fire Pit Rocks and it was a fantastic atmosphere in there.

At times we were hanging on in the game, but at least twice this season we've played Cardiff and lost having been the better team, so perhaps it was our turn to get the breaks.

As a team and a club I think we deserve something out of this season, so even if this is the only trophy we win, I'd say it's been a successful season rebuilding.

Next season we'll need to bring in a couple of quality centres who are strong at faceoffs, because this is one area we've been terrible all season and were very poor again on Sunday.

Great effort guys, keep the entertainment coming on Saturday.

I don’t think we’ve ever had a really dominant face off winner. The best I remember is Craig Chapman.

Missed the game Sunday, watched it last night. A real gusty performance. Now I'm not Armstrong's biggest fan, but I thought he was immense and I would have had him and Connolly as the most influential players.

I’m a bit late writing this but still. Dubes was awesome, as was Vally, DeLuca, Connolly and of course Jono. Benny and Tron also did some key plays as Ds. Shame we let in that last goal tho. Was cheering the lads on from my house and spent the every nervously checking the EIHL website😂 Rlly pleased for Jono, Foxy and the boys👍 Big John at the end tho🤣🤣
