I think now, after tonight's results and given reasonable probability of the league title dream slipping away, all efforts now should be fair and squarely aimed at winning the Challenge Cup on Sunday the 8th and using that momentum going into the play offs.. Just my take on it..

My tweet from last week, I still feel exactly the same now as I did then, but even more so... Hopefully tonight was a under par performance they can use to be up for Sunday night.. and onwards into playoffs, i hear alot of comments on how bad we were, tonight against Cardiff, and by all accounts were were crap, but guys dont lose sight of how far we have come in the space of one season... I guarantee not one of the other clubs in the play offs will be want to play us...

Unfortunately I can only see 5-2 Cardiff. Devils much superior D, big, physical, mobile and will limit our scoring power.
Our D won’t be able to cope with relentless waves of Devils pressure, especially when their big, strong forwards start cycling the puck.
Devils need an off day and we need our best performance of the season.

One thing to remember, we have a habit of turning up and getting a performance in the Viola when least expected.
Guess it's that time.

I'll take that Keith, but I'd be equally happy if we take the Cup by a single goal. Just don't give them a clear head start and make the 1500 Steelers fans in the building proud as punch.
The rest of us will be willing you from wherever we are, in my case: in the land of the Teal Giants as my bio says so.

I was in Miami 12 months ago and for some reason the locals knew of us there.

After Fox's interview I think some players efforts in this game will decide their Steelers future.

I sincerely think we will beat them quite convincingly today, a trade off if you will for the league and that inept performance on Friday, nonetheless it’s silverware and something we all know we haven’t had for a while. I’ll be happy with the season overall if we win today I can’t help but think if we’d of kept Kuuka a few of our recent disappointing results would of been reversed it’s ifs and buts silverware today and let’s see a good run in the playoffs and I think we’re in a good place just a few minor tweaks needed, not major surgery.

I sincerely hope not otherwise what is there for them to play for? A spot on a lower league Euro team?SteelerBlade wrote: ↑Sun Mar 08, 2020 7:25 amAfter Fox's interview I think some players efforts in this game will decide their Steelers future.

There’s still a lot to play for. Yes the league has gone so now we need a good match up for the Playoffs.
We’ve held on to the top of the league since November.
We’re in a final today.
We are in a far better place than this time last year.
This is the first time in 2 years we have even considered going to the Playoffs mainly because the type of hockey we play now is much more entertaining.
We have become the team that everyone hates again rather than the team they pity.
A quick look on social media or hockey forums and you find people queuing up to knock the Steelers even when they have little or no involvement in the game just played or the story in the press or information coming out from the club. Why is that? No one wants to see the Steelers succeed. BUT we are the biggest club in the league now support wise and probably financially.
