Just seen on Steelers twitter that the Roster is now complete, I wonder if Foxy got the man he wanted in the end or if he had to sign another?!

More signings to be announced this week.....

Whoever wrote the press release needs to go back to school and retake their English lessons.
Head coach Aaron Fox has reported to the club that his roster for the new season is now complete.

More signings will be confirmed this week as more and more visa’s and paperwork is completed.

“I like what we have” said Aaron “I believe we have moved the team forward in all area’s and I’m excited to see Tham all on the ice together from the start of training camp on the 4th September”
For a so called professional organisation that is embarrassingly poor and sloppy, at least spell check the text and deal with basic grammatical errors if you want to be taken seriously.

I remember sitting for hours in meetings in the nineties being told how the new literacy hour in all junior schools every day was going to lift levels of written English to new heights.
What a complete waste of time and effort. It cost millions to implement as well! ( or should that be , “ million's to Implemment “. )

Well, considering kids can get away with text speak in GCSE'S - what hope do we have.

Innit bro.

Based on the time lines I thought it probably was Lessio and we'd missed out.

However, I note somebody asked the question on Twitter and Steelers response was that we'd not lost anybody and all was good.

With the squad now complete and signings likely to be announced this week I guess we'll find out soon enough. If we did get our man I'm expecting a 1st line forward who is going to be doing an MBA.

I think the remaining forwards are likely to be Juusola, Allen and one other. It makes a big difference if the one other is a 1st line forward, because it means good quality players like Allen and Dowd are pushed further down the lines, which offers us strength in depth. In fact I wouldn't be surprised to see Dowd on an all British 4th line......now that would be good depth.

I'm very poor at writing and always struggle with typing things properly.

From a work/professional point of view I have to get someone to check my communications before sending them out as I don't always see my errors.

The Steelers need to do the same IMO.

Because you are aware it's a weakness and take steps to ensure something is accurate before publishing, that is you putting your responsibility to your employer above your ego which is the right thing to do. We can all make spelling errors or grammatical mistakes, and few are really competent at typing so checking things before publication shows you care about the impression your organisation makes on others, not to do so is sloppy and unprofessional and that is exactly the impression you make on other people when you release things like this.

As predicted, Scott Allen re-signs.

This only works for me if we do still have a genuine 1st line forward to sign.

A top line of Ciampini/Allen/Neumann is a little weak for my liking compared with what the likes of Cardiff and Belfast are likely to have, but as a 2nd line I'm more than happy.

It was undoubtedly our top line last season, but as a team we fell well short of Belfast, particularly in the forwards, so we do need to upgrade.

Two more to announce........hopefully a 25+ goal winger and Juusola and I'll be quite content with our business.
