Mm don't know what I think of this signing. A great player in his time, but I feel he's on a downward slope now.

I do feel like he didn't gel as well with the side we put out last year because overall, his 36 games on the year (both UK & ICEHL) produced 25 points which isn't a bad return.. it's just not what we've come to expect out of Vally.
As mentioned before.. plays second line wing at absolute best for me until proven otherwise. Just hope we can put pieces around this "core" now to build a new and dominant look.

Well I'm completely underwhelmed by this news, it screams to me the club are more interested in selling shirts than winning any trophies.
Did it need a special 19.00 announcement video? No.
Did it require what all the other teams do around the league, we have signed XYZ? Yes.

The more I see and hear, the more I think Fox genuinely does believe we were very close to Belfast last season and the same old same old might be enough.
I was really pleased when Vally came back last season, because I hoped he might kick us out of our slump.
Unfortunately he was a shadow of the player we'd seen previously. Now maybe that was partly down to injury and illness and next season he'll be 100% fit, but he's also nearly 18 months older than last time he played a full season for us.
I can't say I'm excited by this signing, but as others have pointed out, if he's not 1st line it might work out OK.
I'm still waiting for a signing which will get me enthusiastic about our chances next season.
