Other than a bit of natural turnover due to retirements etc I don't think too many changes are needed, the problems towards the end of this season are more with coaching and confidence. There's no one I would be eager to drive to the airport unlike in some previous years.

I’m already concerned for next season.
Doesn’t Fox have another 2 years left in his contract? So we’ll get good hockey until the New Year.
Steelers used to be able to recruit players on their recent successes. Well we haven’t had any recently. No CHL or European places to attract players either.
Now it’s more about big crowds and supposedly an amazing atmosphere.
If I were a player choosing between Belfast, Cardiff & us. I wouldn’t be choosing us.

It's like a stuck record.
Need a bigger, more physical D.
Need a proper first line with a few proper goal scorers.
Need centres.
Need to be younger.
Need more speed in the forwards across the board.
Need new systems. Need variation in tactics.
Need leadership.
Need character.
The worrying thing if Fox presumably stays is that he doesn't seem to react, change systems, selections, learn from previous years.
It's a big headache for Smith and I don't understand what he was thinking when he renewed the contract when he did.

Pretty similar to what I would go with. I wouldn't keep Ackered, we really need to beef up our D. And with possibly retaining a fairly lightweight duo in Jones and Neva would look for 4 bigger remaining d.Nathan wrote: ↑Sat Mar 25, 2023 2:20 pmMason Mitchell

Disappointing that we can't get a look/find a place for Brown or Shudra in the line up though. Petgrave too maybe although he's really tailed off (like everyone I suppose)
With regards to Ciampini, Allen and Neumann, would have to be 2nd to third line. I do rate Allen, goes under everyone's radar too much.
