All to do in the 2nd leg, some of these players seriously need to start looking in the mirror and ask themselves if they are good enough to be wearing Orange.
One too many passengers for me.

Well I certainly got that wrong. After the end of the 2nd, I could only see a Steelers win, but we stopped with the speed and the energy and as @Doom said earlier in this thread when we don’t play with speed, we are an average side. I’d say we’re a poor side when we don’t play with energy.

We can’t keep playing well for 20 minutes a game and expecting to win. Fife were solid, but we made them look like league champions at times.

2 out of the last 3 games as regulation loses, I worry very much for the Belfast weekend I really do.

I will be interested to know Fox thoughts for this game….his usual “I liked our game” isn’t correct here.

I’d normally be confident with the home 2nd leg, but we’re not playing well at home either!

Pitule, Neumann, Mitchell & Kristo have been poor for me in 2023. If possible we need to make at least one change in personnel and if we can manage to bring a high energy forward in perhaps we can get the jump back in the side.

They were blowing smoke by the end of P2 but somehow managed to end the 60 with a W.

Greenfield is looking burnt out.
The whole set of forward lines look very one dimensional and some of our D play is very sloppy at times.

I'm starting to get a tad worried also about the Belfast weekend.

Might have to pack extra underwear.

How come Belfast in manage to get live text updates on BBC Sport and this game doesn't ?
Both Belfast and Cardiff get decent BBC coverage. Probably less competition for news in Wales and N. Ireland.

If we had just changed two things in this game I think we would have won .
Don't give away penalties in the offensive zone.
Don't pass cross ice to their forwards when you are the last defender.

It's only half time in the contest and we really should win at the arena. But then we have to play Belfast in Belfast ( ?) in the final.

Poor result again. Although it doesn’t cost us League points and we have the opportunity to put it right at home and progress to the final.

To me it seems he's laying the platform & gameplan for these players but some of them just aren't stepping up when they should be.

Doom
This is an interesting point.

Considering we're a team that relies on speed/pace, and that performances tend to decline as the season progresses, could it be that the players are simply exhausted from playing a long season in a system focused on high intensity play?

Sorry for the football analogy but Klopp's teams have suffered from this in the past, it's almost impossible to play a high press (gegenpress) style of football for an entire season...
