The first leg of our Challenge Cup , Semi-Final against Fife, they will be up for this for sure and won't just lay down because the mighty Steelers roll into town. they are legit in the Semi Final and must be respected as a team that eared that place.. no push over this one...

This game is on Viaplay.
Also, OT is not an option here.

Probably fairly close in Fife to be fair.
Would love to take a nice lead though to give Greenfield the night off for the second leg, or do you risk Hayden in this one and keep Greenfield fresh for the Belfast weekend?
4-3 Steelers.

I'd like to think we could give the new guy a start between the pipes but maybe Fox would deem it a tad risky?
It is a Semi-Final after all and how much ice time has he seen this season?
However, I suppose the counter argument to that is we've brought him in to do a job and will be expected to play as called upon so no time like the present.

He's played 26 games so far this season including League and Cup. So I would have thought he'd be ready to play.

Or at least give him 50% of the game.
If you'd asked me a week ago I would have been very confident of winning this over two legs, but after the performance on Saturday I'm no longer sure.
It's not that we lost on Saturday that concerns me, it's how we lost having been dominated by a poor Glasgow team. We lacked energy, passing was poor, puck control abysmal and bad decision making.
We're a team very much built on playing at pace, if we lose that we become a very average team.
I didn't see the game on Sunday, but it sounded slightly better, so hopefully last Saturday was a blip and we can get back to playing how we're capable of this week, otherwise our season could unravel quicker than a fire drill in the Fabulous NIC.
