At the moment 80% in the poll think we will win. I reckon it won't be that easy. Nottingham are playing better under Cory and won't lack for effort or belief. A lot will depend on keeping our discipline, especially Mr Petgrave who I am sure they will target.
We can't afford to play with 4 players most of the game!

I said to the wife whilst at the Dundee game, all Nottingham have to do is wind Petgrave up and they're in with a chance.Brian wrote: ↑Thu Dec 22, 2022 11:45 pmAt the moment 80% in the poll think we will win. I think with a full building and our current form it will be an enormous effort for Nottingham to beat us. We have gone home disappointed on a few occasions in the past but I feel the Notts teams we faced then were better.

I'm 99% confident we'll win, how we achieve this, who knows, but that other niggling 1% rattling about in the back of my mind could be the difference between 2 points or a dumb penalty giving up a PP goal and us stinking out a sold out building.steeler pete wrote: ↑Sat Dec 24, 2022 11:45 amI think with a full building and our current form it will be an enormous effort for Nottingham to beat us. I think the main concern for me is Greenfield being healthy.

Is it just my false memories but don't we typically play badly/tend to lose in the home boxing day games?
It should be a close game, Panthers are finally finding some sort of form and we have been performing well recently.

I was thinking the same about the Boxing Day games, but the numbers at the arena would certainly suggest both you and I have false memoriespaul johnston wrote: ↑Mon Dec 26, 2022 6:58 amIs it just my false memories but don't we typically play badly/tend to lose in the home boxing day games?

We’ve not lost at the arena for the past 5 years.
My memories/worry is more about playing poorly in front of a huge crowd. We must be due for a barnstormer this time!
