We lost 2 in a row before the break. There was rumoured illness in the camp going into the break. Surely the break came at the right time?
However the two games after the break would suggest it came at the wrong time.
Both Cardiff & Notts can catch and pass us. Belfast just two points behind if they all win their games in hand.
Notts & Belfast at the weekend. With the current form of 4 straight losses I can see two more added.
Next weekend will show what the Steelers are all about.

Just awful form really. There was signs in that Manchester & Coventry weekend but we managed to scrape the results off poor performances, strange really since we had our best weekend of the season beating Belfast & Cardiff the week before. Since then we've been very poor, only winning a dead rubber tie vs Glasgow.smbmetal wrote:We lost 2 in a row before the break. There was rumoured illness in the camp going into the break. The break came at the right time injury wise for sure we returned with DeLuca and Hrabel back in the line-up and a complete list of imports to choose from, not often we've had that recently.
You would assume the break was at the right time form wise for us as well but unfortunately this weekend hasn't gone how any of us would have hoped. I was expecting a full reverse on the performances just before the break. However a double header against Panthers and Giants this weekend is the biggest weekend of the season so far and a chance for any one of the teams in contention to grab the bull (the league) by the horns! You would expect Cardiff and Notts to pick up wins on Wednesday, Giants have a tough trip to Guildford who come off beating us and the Devils recently. Barring a Clan shaped upset Wednesday, we have to win on Saturday to avoid losing any more momentum we have left and giving Notts a bigger boost for the league run in.
Momentum is definitely with other teams at the moment, Panthers have the most momentum currently but have 13 games left 7 of which are against us (once), Devils (twice), Giants (twice) and Blaze (twice) all of which you would not want to be predicting currently with how tight the league is.
