Steelers Vs Panthers - Pre-Season Friendly Weekend

NHL jerseys are very common at the arena. Often souvenirs from trips across the pond. Brandon Whistle and Matt Myers in my opinion are not the same sort of player. Matt's role is usually screening the goalie on offence as he has a massive frame. I can't personally see what's hilarious about the goalie's name , we've seen a lot funnier over the years. Each to his own on Mickey-taking.

Nothing wrong with wearing NHL jerseys. Nice to have banter with fans about that league as well as ours in my opinion. Plus some people might not suit orange lol

But the majority of them were Rangers fans. I hate Rangers. The rest of them were fine by me

Yea ! good start for the season, loads to work on and some real positives to take from the weekend. Petgrave for me was outstanding, not an upgrade on Todd just more physical but a similar player.
On the goal posts coming away too often, the ice was very soft, you could see the dark patches all over the surface and that was the reason the net kept coming off, the ice was so soft around each goal. SIMPLE answer!

Watched the highlights of both games.

Some very good goals and from the short 30 min highlights of both games I saw, we look very good going forward and special teams looked good considering how early in the season we are. Ciampini looks like he'll score quite a few us and I liked the look of Petgrave from the small snippets I saw.

I'm afraid though, we still look very soft in defence, at least two of their goals they had a player stood in front of our net with no attempt to move him. Whilst of course it's very early and they were exhibition games, that would be one of my major concerns if I were the coach.
